The Scooter Buddy.

A great boon to users of Mobility Scooters is the introduction of a

mobility scooter trailer that dismantles and fits in the boot of a

car.

Mobility scooters and powered wheelchairs in general have proven to

be of great benifit to handiccaped and partially disabled people for

quite a while now. Otherwise they would have previously be dependant

on others to push their wheelchair for them. With a powereed

wheelchair or scooter they are able to travel by themselves up to

distances of 25 miles at speeds of up tp 8 M.P.H A great improvement

to how things used to be.

One difficulty with these vehicles was if you needed to take them

with you when travelling distances in a car or similar vehicle. For

example if the person was going on holiday or travelling to see a

distant friend or relative. Some of these scooters are small and

lightweight and can easily be placed in the trunk of a car. However

the larger sizes are to big and heavy to be used in this way, so the

only previous way was by using a trailer to transport their mobility

scooter.

Not everyone has the space to store a regular trailer, and security

is always an issue with trailers also.

A new type of trailer has been developed that quickly and easily

dismantes in moments without the use of tools and can be carried in

the boot or trunk of even a small car such as a Citroen ax and

similar. These are available from www.mobilityscootertrailers.co.uk

Made of Aluminium these small, lightweight trailers can be stored

anywhere taking up little space, in a garage, under a bench or even

in a cupboard or in fact anywhere indoors, which eliminates the

security and storage worries associated with comventional trailer.

Capable of carrying up to 200 kg these trailers can also be used as a

conventional mini-trailer, whenever a small portable trailer is

required.

Mobility scooter carriers that fit on the towbars of Vehicles are

also available, but in most cases they are unsuitable because of the

limit of how much vertical weight the towbar can carry. Not a

problem on large vehicles like a motorhome or RV, but on a car they

are often not suitable. However a collapsible mobility scooter

trailer
can be used to transport even the heaviest scooter behind

even the smallest car. A great boon disabled people who require more

freedom and ability to enjoy there lives.
